Make a branch of a database
A branch of its parent (parent, a branch's name or id; the root, main, unless it names another) as the parent is now (slice DB6, Neon's form): the parent's Drive forked as it is (its node makes a version of it with its guest's writes held a moment: the Drive as at a power cut, which PostgreSQL recovers from by its WAL), nothing copied; and an app of one stateful service on it, as the root's: the same image, size and sleep, an instance of its own that sleeps and wakes on its own, its name on the project's network <database>-<branch> (private_host), an endpoint of its own. Its roles and passwords are its parent's: they are in the data it was forked of. Its Drive is billed for what it changed since the fork, never more than what it holds (storage.billed_bytes, as the store's collector last worked it out: what its newest version reads from objects of its own); what it shares with its parent is the parent's, billed once. With expires_at it is deleted then, by itself (once no branch made of it is there). The call waits for its first start (150 s at the most) and answers the branch, or creating (it goes on: GET it). A branch of a moment of the root's history (from): of its Drive's window's version, or of its WAL archive replayed to the moment (seconds to minutes: the call waits). Takes write.

- fromoptionalobject | null
What it is made of, where it is not its parent as it is now (slices DB8 and DB5):
at, a time within the root branch's history (history_seconds; the root alone keeps one), as a restore takes it: the newest version of the root's Drive's window at or before it (one every 30 seconds in which it was written, which PostgreSQL recovers as after a power cut) whereatis a whole minute or that version's own moment; otherwise (further back than the window holds, to the second, or withexact)atitself, to the millisecond, by the root's WAL archive (its WAL replayed to it and promoted before the branch's instance starts), or refused where the archive does not reach it (400invalid_history; 503database_archive_unavailablewhile its store refuses its segments), the refusal saying the window's version at or before it: never that version in its place. A snapshot (snapshot) is a later slice's.

201
The branch: its PostgreSQL answers (awake, or asleep since), or creating, its first start under way.
